Baen has to set its servers to the correct time that you are currently occupying. For instance, when Dr. Drib attempted to connect, Baen was trying to set the servers to April 2016. If they don't get the time right, you may have access to books you've purchased in the future, or not have access to books that you have purchased but after the time that the servers are set to.
