Why are you convinced it's a badly designed device - without having used it? Because of the need for, and (supposed) extra cost of the cover?
I think the engineers at Amazon should have a chance to make their case (pun intended
) by putting it into the publics hand and deciding from there.
I personally think it's going to be one of those things that polarizing to see, but sells itself once it's your hand. I think it'll end up being well-liked.
