I won't say that there is no USB port on the cover but I've checked several videos and I can confirm that there is none at the top or the bottom of the cover which only leaves the inside of the wedge where the connectors are. I couldn't see any good angles of that but surely if there was a USB port all of the videos would have pointed that out.
