My point was the flexable substrate which has also been proven on sonys digital paper device can bring substantial weight savings without sacrificing huge amounts of battery.
I gave the wexler as the example because of that one particular feature and its design,I know it was a flop ,from what I could judge it was more to do with the software and perhaps its cpu ect that lead to a subpar ereader along with its unknown brand name.
Plastic substrates can be made in any size if someone wants to pay to manufacture it,a few 13" devices coming out with it so Amazon could of put their finger out and made a device without concessions but they focused on THE ALMIGHTY DOLLAR
