I'm through with eMusic.com.

It is now possible to download what is supposed to be the track above, from http://www.emusic.com/dailydownloads/toolbar/main.html. However, it downloads as an .emx file. My computer doesn't recognize it; I don't recognize it. I'm starting to get all of these free music websites and offers all mixed up in my head, but I think that eMusic is the same one who a day or two ago had a free download, but for quite a time during the day was non-functioning/non-functional. Then, when it did function, it gave a file then, too, which was unusable because of its file type (which was not .emx but a different one).

Just now, when I went to eMusic to see if the download was functioning/functional, I forgot to log in. I clicked on the link in the drop-down menu for the daily download. The website sent me to this webpage instead, which is an advertisement for their subscription service. When I logged in and followed the same procedure to try to get to the daily download webpage, I got a different webpage advertising their subscription service! At neither landing page (splash page or whatever it's called) was there an apparent way to get away from it and go to the download webpage!

I could have just gone to the webpage http://www.emusic.com/dailydownloads/toolbar/main.html, but that shouldn't be necessary, in my way of thinking.

Maybe the rest of eMusic.com is okay, but there are just too many hassles with eMusic.com's daily download. And, the music, so far, has not been from new or obscure artists, not the popular ones. It's just not worth the trouble, in my way of thinking. I'm sorry that I told you all about the website. I won't be posting anything about them anymore.
