A lot of us (including me, but not a majority) want water resistant readers for outdoors. Amazon looked at the competition already filling that niche, and decided to go after the market for lightweight ergonomic readers first. There isn't competition for that sector yet, nobody was filling it.


Do you get it now?
Being lighweight and waterproof are not mutuallyexclusive, amazon skimped out on features for maximum profit,i won't support those kind of decisions.
