The oddest band I ever heard of is "The Stamps Quartet". It has been going strong for 92 years. Note: there was not always a Stamps in the quartet. The quartet was formed to sell Virgil and Frank's gospel music and at one point there were at least 3 gospel groups with that name.
Frank toured some but I don't think Virgil did.
Now my great-grandmother told my mother that she remembered her uncles coming over to play. Frank and Virgil were her uncles.
