Actually, the comparison is very fair. Leaving the cover behind will net you only 7 hours of battery life (2 weeks @ 30 min/day). That's only a third of the Voyage's 21 hour battery (6 weeks @ 30 min/day).

Without the case's extra battery, Amazon can't advertise longer battery life:
