Has it been confirmed the oasis has a plastic substrate.
Because really, these things last pretty much forever except for the broken screen (and dead battery, which is not hard to replace).
I broke one once. Turned on to see the screen all messed up. I didn't know then what it was, wasn't aware I had done anything to it. Called Amazon and described what I saw and they gave me a replacement.
