Well a lot of the diehard Kindle fans turned their noses up to it. A poll in the Kindle forum area of MR shows 64% stating they will never buy it. Considering most of the time it is at least 64% of these same people who say they will buy a newly released Kindle, it makes me wonder. And to make it even worse, they actually gave it the name Oasis, which makes us think of water, even though it has no water proofing at all! Now that is funny! I could care less about waterproofing, but many have long awaited such a Kindle... But ultimately it is likely due to the short attention span of the typical human. If they can keep our attention more than 10 minutes they are lucky. By day two we have already been distracted and moved on to something else.
