Like you, I have a strong preference for symmetry, but the device's lopsidedness isn't bothering me as much as expected.

Since my hand/thumb would partially cover the wider side, I anticipate that my brain might perceive the screen as more centered. I could be wrong about that, though; I'd have to try it. The Oasis looks like it's easier to hold, which for me is a huge plus. I'm not tempted to buy one, though. Too pricey for my budget.
