Isn't it quite obvious? Kobo does lighting better. What if all of a sudden Amazon does lighting just as good? You would cry that they stole Kobo's technology, illegally reverse engineered. Oasis lighting is not Voyage lighting with more leds, it is different. A clip on booklight only needs 1 led, why can't Kobo light the screen with 1 led?
