An e-reader does not need to be a market leader for its inherent value to be acknowledged. It is better value for what it offers at
it's price than the Oasis at
it's price. Resorting to arguments based on market numbers whilst ignoring the various factors that constribute to that situation is simply not done. A wise man does not need explaing why it is so.
I do not consider the negligible improvements in the Oasis worthy of the $100 (or whatever) premium for my needs. Some people might have different needs and consider it worth it. They will purchase it, perhaps justifiably.
What remains constant is that the improvements on display here cannot be considered a result of a $100 per customer investment on a solely objective basis by any unbiased observer. If you think those sociological studies were worth $100 a unit premium, please be my guest and continue to think so.
