For whatever its worth, for those frustrated by the delays in pre-ordering, in past years, some retail stores, Best Buys in particular, usually get a handful of stock on release day (typically 2-3 units per store). It is worth checking stock online, and or calling around on release day, as you may get lucky. I snagged both the first Paperwhite and the Voyage in this manner with little difficulty. The only downside, is that I would bet that they might only receive units with black cases. Amazon often limits the more exotic case colors to online sales only.
