The same screen technology, smaller battery, smaller screen, and they want $300 for a plastic lump on one side? No thanks.

Give me a luxuious 6-7" color e-ink screen, lots of memory, bump the processor, and open format support, and I might consider $300. I'll keep yelling my constant cry: Innovate! Innovate! Innovate!
