Two nights ago I woke up at 4 with bad premonitions. Got up and went downstairs to find it really cold. The entry door had opened with the strong winds at -25C. How ever I tried it would not close shut so I had to drill and screw it shut. Luckily today it was a mild -10C windless day so I was able to thaw the ice around it to close it again.
Yesterday I had an important delivery and installation of cabinetry that was complicated by a dead battery and then a dead starter on my truck.
Some days are long and tiresome, cold just makes them worse.
