If anyone hasn't mentioned this yet, Wifi + no ads + 2-year protection raises the U.S. price to $449.98.

This is one massively overpriced beastie. An iPad Air 2 starts at $399. I think Mr. Bezos is exploring ways to finance his exploration of outer space. Not that I mind, as long as Amazon continues to offer cheaper alternatives, but unless weight is a consideration, all new owners are really paying for is bragging rights.
