The ergonomics are all in compromise to the dual battery system. For some people, it may happen to be more comfortable to hold.

I think the Oasis would be awkward for me with the weight on one side. Obviously people who always hold it that way will feel differently. I like the weight evenly distributed so I can hold it in a variety of different ways. I know I wouldn't want to stop reading and flip it to switch hands. Since battery life isn't that important to me, I'll stick with my Paperwhite.
