Yes i think it has to be,it also weighs 131 grams which i think would be impossible to achieve with a glass cover.
Seeing as i dropped my PW3 down the stairs last week which left a nasty crack in the middle of the screen this will be a welcome improvement.
It looks like no audible features or anything extra,looks like kindles will stay as ereaders ,who would of thought
