At $360 it is above my price point, at $150 I would not hesitate to buy it.

I was using my phone to browse the web (HTC / ATT Tilt win-mob 6.1) and had gone to the Amazon site and saw something about a newsletter devoted to the kindle. I did not get a chance to sign up and when I went back I could not locate the info again. ... any information would be appreciated.
Welcome, samsoltan.

First, a V2 is NOT out there. At least it hasn't been released yet, and until Amazon themselves announce it I wouldn't be believing any 'leaked' pictures, or rumors you may have read.

A $150 price point I don't think is feasible just yet....hope you are prepared to wait. Color is also not in the works, because of the e-ink display used......here's a link from June

I do get a "Whats new on Kindle" newsletter, but it just highlights the newest books released. I don't subscribe to it (checked my account) and apparently Amazon sends it to Kindle owners.

You might want to check out our "Which one should I buy" forum for other devices which would work for you.
Good luck in your search!
