Buying a special stylus is not necessary, something like a toothpick with the point cut off square and touching perpendicular to the screen works okay on my Glo.

It is just that wih something big and soft like a fingertip it can be hard to tell exactly where the touch beam is being broken. If you are touching at an angle then it is probably not where the finger is pointing but somewhere just below that. With something slim and perpendicular to the screen it should be easier to tell if the touch sensors are misaligned.
