My problem with my ebook addiction is I have the money to buy the ebooks and I read all of them even if they are poorly written and I do not like them. I have over 2100 in my kindle library and i have kindle unlimited and read 1 or 2 books a day off of that service. I can only read about 18 hours at a time before i have to sleep. I crash for 10 to 12 hours and get up. Rinse and repeat.

My only other addiction is World of Warcraft. I spend a couple days a week doing that. Usually same hours LOL. I do read 10 to 12 books a week, usually one or 2 books previously read and one or two new books. I am always hunting for new authors and get very bored reading books that are not to my liking. Honestly it is not spelling or poor grammar that get me, it's the lack of originality or any ability of the author to hold their audience.

The books are not that bad, I just am very picky about what I read. What I like is sometimes very odd and other times mainstream. I read about 20 to 30 books a month between playing WoW. I used to watch tv and/or movies but have completely lost interest mostly in that type of entertainment.

It is a little funny that although i consider my ebooks an addiction I do not want help with it as I enjoy it too much. Better to read to much than get into trouble doing something wrong. I have anger management issues and tend to be intensely anti-social except the internet of things. I also have mental health issues and find escaping in a good book really helps me function.

I do work a bit for fun but do not need the money. Just do it so I interact with others. I flag traffic and do have Occupational First Aid Level 3 and work on Construction sites as a first aid attendant when my mental health is ok.

But my main love is ebooks. I have a kobo Aura HD, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 Wifi, and a Apple Ipad Mini 16GB that I use to read my ebooks. I have completely abandoned print media.

Sorry if my post seems more like a confessional than someone looking to get help or having solutions for those that have ebook addictions that negatively affect their lives. I know mine does I just do not care what others think mostly. I do appreciate constructive criticism from anonymous people from the internet thought.
