There's more to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania than the national park there with the battlefield. For one thing, there is a fine college there called . . . are you ready for this . . . Gettysburg College. At Gettysburg College, there is a fine art museum, the Schmucker Art Gallery. The Gallery publishes several art catalogs of items in their collection. The following is one of those catalogs.
I considered and decided against posting this book two or three times. Why? It is just so
short--only about 20 pages, and that might be stretching it a little bit. But, the type is small, as are the photos, so a lot gets packed within those pages. And, I felt that it was just too interesting of a book to pass on it. See if you agree.
Oh, yeah, it's
free.

Book Description (excerpt from the book):
Enigmatic Andy Warhol claimed he had “no re al point to make” in producing art. Yet, his silkscreens, sculptures, paintings, and photographs reveal the artist’s profound interest in the way art intersected with fields like advertising, fashion, film, mass culture, and underground music. In his experimentations with photography and portraiture, Warhol was fascinated with representations of both the individual and masses and used the Polaroid portrait to illustrate the fine lines between art and popular culture, celebrity and anonymity.
