My reader has the firmware V2.01NL.081211, from bebook, but I think this should work in any recent firmware:
When you are reading a book (fb2):
1. Press Ok
2. Press 6 (Settings...). A menu appears where option 1 is "Default font face"
3. Press 0. The menu changes and now option 1 is "Footnotes at page bottom"
4. In this menu, use option 6 (Show bookmark icons: On) and option 7 (Status line: Top)
Now, you should see something like the attached image. There are two bookmarks.
