I used archie at the time to search the 'net, there was no web at the time... I have to admit I often found what I was looking for faster then today, now my searches pop up with more and more of what different people (and companies) 'think' I want to find... Not to mention all the porn I find while googling. Interestingly enough, half my searches with archie were probably for porn.... Maybe the 'net just remembers my search habits from 20 years ago.
