FWIW, I count abandoned. Since I inevitably have invested more time trying to read them than it would have taken to read a good book.
The exception would be a book I start and clearly see in the first 50 pages or less that it is not for me. Usually because of excessive and lingering violence, or an author promoting an offensive agenda with a baseball bat.
