To clarify, I would need:
(a) Some way to control the device, from bootup to shutdown, without using the touchscreen.
(b) Some way to reduce brightness, similarly.
(c) Some way to disable zooming animation in the home screen.
(d) Some way to read without either system-wide or app-specific zooming animation in the pdf reader.
