Funny.

I also think that murg intended it to be funny. It's really straining the neurons and synapses in my brain, but I oh so vaguely remember the stone soup story. It was a fable--more like a folk tale--about a soup that started out with just one stone. Seems like the woman making it couldn't afford even to make soup. But people contributed this and that (good ingredients) to where it finally became a delicious soup.
