During the American Revolutionary War George Washington had a temporary headquarters at the Ford mansion. Soldiers were set to work building Fort Nonsense, so named because the soldiers believed it's primary purpose was to keep them away from the townspeople -- especially, the ladies.

I lived in Morristown during my teens. My folks left just a couple of years ago. It's a nice place to live.
