The reviews look very good on this model.

Most of the Canon PIXMA models are great. I own one, and am happy with it. However, there is at least one model that, for some reason, is a lemon. I don't remember the exact number(s) now, but it/they are around the MG2000 number, I think. I see it/those on lots of deal-of-the-day sites, marked down to very low prices. It seems like Canon and/or some retailers are trying to unload them. Just make sure to check the reviews first before buying one of the PIXMAs. You can probably find out all that you need to know by Googling the model number and "review," and then scanning down the list of hits to see how many (or few) stars the product gets.
