I was thinking the same thing, but the pm only has to have enough knowledge in all those areas to communicate effectively with the real experts. He can be broad, but shallow in some areas.
I got my current job when they realized they would never find the specific mix they originally asked for and they finally comprised on me. Like a reverse groucho marx, I figured I'd be happy working for some one smart enough to hire me.
