What puzzles me is this:- a spinning wheel normally means a program is busy or waiting for a locked resource such as locked file, and the only way to get out of it is to release the resource or kill the program. But in this instance I can hit Cancel and return to the parent dialogue and hit Exit there.

I guess what I am saying the spinning wheel cursor may be misleading me (us) -- I think we've discussed something similar before -- it's more like the button click is being ignored.
