Yes. Font obfuscation is a way of encrypting fonts so they're unusable should someone extract them from the epub and try to use them. It's not all that effective, but it may be required depending on the license you have to distribute a font (if a license is indeed required).
You can right-click on a font-file in the Book Browser and quickly see if they have a form of obfuscation on them (no check mark beside either of the obfuscation methods means no obfuscation).
Just remember that there can be no obfuscation on fonts in an epub you're going to convert to a Kindlebook with kindlegen/kindle-previewer.
