Thankfully I was able to use the jailbreak on my KT2, as I suspect my skills would have been insufficient to take the serial approach and would have left me with a KT2 paperweight.

Thanks so much for the clarification. I doubt that I am skilled enough to open up my kindle nor am I willing enough to risk it though. Haha So I guess I'll just have to wait for someone to come up with a closed kindle hack. Thanks again!
