Answer: scarf. Hold it to mouth and nose and breathe through it. Cover all the rest of the face with scarf & hand - except eyes. Unless of course, the broken blood vessels were around your eyes. Those tend to stay exposed, even in a burqha.

However -- you are talking about a good long walk. I walk my dogs, but we do a VERY short walk in this weather! Then I clean up the floor later, but it's worth it.

Alternative: that nice warm spa in your building!!
