@fvdham - good oh, thanks for letting us know.

Calibre is a primarily database driven, the 'working' database is an in-memory version, the on-disk database only exists to persist changes, and the author/book folders only come into play when you want to do something with a format or cover image file. So... you might want to consider moving the libraries off the SSD and onto a spinning drive, the performance hit shouldn't be much.
