I also checked through my recent purchase history and of the last 5 or so ebooks I bought all were cheaper than the paperback save one, and that was by a few pence (£3.83 v £3.99). However it's important to note that that's based on current price. Some of those I bought when they were on a deal. If you use sites like ereaderiq you can save a lot of money.
