1) Probably not - I have much less bookshelf space now so I don't buy books nearly as much as I used to.
2) eBooks (and especially the eInk Readers) definitely help, but they did not offset the stop on buying paper books. Yet, anyway.
3) Indirectly. It guided me to Calibre which I use to create eBooks to read.
