New one came today! Looks a Lot better No Bright Areas!!
Those Blobs are really Light Shades of Grey. No they don't bother the actual reading. I guess as a Non-Techy they from the ink pack that form the words on the device. When my son broke my 1st K3 it was a Huge Blob of Dark Gray. Same as those tiny gray spots where the ink pouch popped. The brighter you set the lights the less you see gray. Background White the words looks Black to me very crisp.
