It has to be a problem with your local setup.
I just unpacked with KindleTool 5.6.5, 5.7.2, 5.7.2.1 and 5.7.3.1 -
NONE of them have a new build of u-boot included.
Q.E.D: You have the same u-boot as everyone else, it is a problem with your setup.
