@erosco: No, that'd probably be better implemented on KOReader's side (with or without piggybacking on the hack, by the way).
Someone might even have already done it at one point (the piggybacking solution, I mean)?
The relevant code is already implemented on the Kobo side, it'd mostly just be rewiring stuff the right way ;p.
