Ah, but you didn't . . . (story starts to turn downhill about here).

Then you went ahead and did an Amazon (full) image update.

At which point, yes, you are SOL.

The first half of the instructions did just the very minimum to have a working jailbreak.
The second half of the instructions **would have** install the "survival kit" for the jailbreak.
Then the Amazon (full) image update over-wrote what you had done in the first part of BD's instructions.

Translation of all of the above:
Your device is in the same state it would have been in if you had never done the first part of the jailbreak instructions.

(It could have been worse, you could have pressed: "Erase All" somewhere along the line.)
