I wasn't in favor of e-books until I got my hands on one. There are many reasons I liked it:

Adjustable font makes it easy to read.
No yellowed pages also makes it easier to read.
A library in my pocket.
Lightweight.
No need to hold the book open with my hands.
Access to cheap or free books. I can try out a PD classic without having to pay for it.
Access to books when I want them.
I really like being able to look words up at a touch.

I understand that some people like the smell of books, and that baffles me a bit. I've been reading for close to 50 years, and I've never noticed books having a smell, unless it's mildew. I guess I don't have the same Pavlovian response to book smell.
