The only suggestion of David that I would use would be to use the cloud connection to automatically download all new books into CC once a day. I haven't suggested it, because it seemed like a lot of work for a little benefit. As a middle ground, perhaps once a cloud connection has been established, maybe have an option to download everything new.
David: If you can keep your entire Calibre library on your device, you can keep the entire CC library too. Once you have gone through the initial pain, its not that much effort to upgrade it with new books.
