Yup, just updated my PW2 to 5.7.3 to confirm, everything works as intended.

So, methinks there was an extra badly timed factory reset somewhere...

You also wouldn't happen to have hard rebooted it (or have it shut down) at any point, since you mentioned low battery?

In any case, I updated the Factory Reset mention in the first post, it was needlessly cryptic because written before the hotfix was available...
