Loading non-Kobo books

As I mentioned in an earlier thread I don't use my Kobo very often. I've found a manual for the Kobo Glo, but it only gives information on downloading ebooks from the Kobo site.

I've just designed an ebook, and want to test it on my Kobo Glo. The ebook validates, and works well on my Sony PRS T3, Lenovo tablet, and iPad with iBooks and Bluefire, and the Kindle version works well on my Kindle Touch. I have it in my calibre library, and on my computer. What's the best way of getting it on to my Kobo?

When I had a Kobo Touch I could load it to the ereader from calibre, but I want to make sure that this will work before I try it on the Glo. Or is there a better way?
