Thanks for the Mark tool - essentially it goes a long way to fulfilling this wish:-

Suggested improvement - if nothing is entered in Settings->Mark tag do not insert empty tags (i.e. '[]' and '[/]') around the 'word'. For me the highlight is usually enough. When Whole Word is False the tags obfuscate and create 'spelling errors'
