I have both an excellent tablet and an excellent laptop, both with excellent LCD IPS screens without PWM.

Unfortunately I still cannot use any of them for very long because of eyestrain and headache, plus none of them work outdoors. I really want something that will work well outside in the sun.
This is why I want to use an e-ink reader for books, magazines, and comics. Black/white is fine by my me, (its like back in the good old days when all comics where in black & white).

What I do want is a high contrast screen that offers my comics etc in good quality both indoors and outdoors. The Inkpad didn't offer this unfortunately. It is ok outside in the sun, but not inside.
Any tips on my options? Are Carta 8"/8.6" screens my only options?
