Device: Kobo Aura H2O
Largest ereader with good contrast screen?

Good day all,
I just bought a Pocketbook Inkpad 840 the other day after some days of research.
First impressions were rather good; well build and flexible software.
But I have to say that the screen is completely useless for anything but plain text. The contrast is very bad/low, and comics/photos honestly look like sh*t despite using custom software and tweaking contrast (etc) settings.
I read a lot of comics and magazines, and thus opted for an 8" screen device.

So I will return the device, and I'm looking for tips and guidance of what device to buy instead?
I'd really like to have 8" or above; but a high contrast screen is much more important than size. Currently looking at the Kobo Aura HD/H2O with 6.8" screens. Are they much better than the Inkpad in terms of image quality, contrast etc? Do I have any other options?

Last resort would be to save up and buy the Sony DPT-S1 13.3", but I'd rather not because of the cost. The Onyx is not an option because I need backlight.
How good is the image quality and contrast on the Sony?

Thanks!
