If you consider it not as an advertisement for a job-opening, but a way to get massive advertising coverage of their location for free (or, at least, at the relatively minor cost of a job placement), then the reason the job wasn't filled becomes apparent.

Funny. I also thought of Marc immediately when I saw it.
Hey, I live here:

I wake every morning to a tap on my shoulder telling me my bedside latte is going cold, I can either walk out onto the balcony for a spa, or down the stairs to my own, private, palm-and-rock-bordered pool with bar and Balinese open air "cabana" with daybed, or walk down to the beach pictured above for a bodysurf or just a lie-down and people-watch or a read/write. The fridge and bar are fully stocked, I've got free broadband-wifi to surf or blog (or not) whenever I feel like (hardly ever on the blogging), and I have The Loved One and my dogs with me 24-7. Also, I don't have to work.

It'd be a fantastic job, but if forced to choose between working and retirement, I pick the latter.

Cheers,
Marc
